Should look good if put on properly

Received wheel glove quickly thank you.
No basic instructions inside on how to sew it on. So had to go online and find the video with instructions.
As I am from a tailoring family I was able to follow it.The demonstrator got his hands in front of the viewer..annoying!
Firstly the needle needs to be for upholstery so should be slightly curved and a lot stronger than the little
needle I received. Plus a replacement in case of breakage or loss. That needle is quite difficult to push through and
I noticed the demonstrator had some issues at one point trying to get the needle through because it was too fragile
or possibly a difficult angle..remember the needle is not shaped.
I was entertained on the view of the wheel when sewing on the back side . In the video the wheel magically
whipped round. If only!
I made a fatal error as I chose black thread to go through black thread. Not easily seen. I should have chosen
a coloured thread so I could see it . So point that out to prospective buyers. The leather seems tough and I hope
will last. Not totally impressed with the shaped join.
The thread appears resilient but only time will tell if it stays the course or breaks. A lot will depend on the sewing
ability of the owner. I haven't put it on yet as I am on holiday and reckon it will take a couple of hours to get it right.
I intend to use hair clips to hold the glove in place as I sew plus it should help with tension as you sew. I am able to do
embroidery stitches..cross stitch and french knot to secure. Hopefully others will also know how to attempt them.
Get a woman with dexterous fingers who does embroidery to demonstrate properly.
My Fiat Panda is 18 in January and in immaculate condition so hope she likes her new wheel glove!

Cathy McNamara
